Swedish Massage

The most widely recognized and commonly used category of massage is the Swedish massage. The Swedish massage techniques vary from light to vigorous. Swedish massage has shown to be helpful in reducing pain, joint stiffness, and improving function in patients with osteoarthritis of the knee over a period of eight weeks.

        Deep Tissue

Deep tissue massage is a type of massage therapy that focuses on realigning deeper layers of muscles. It is used for chronic aches and pain and contracted areas such as a stiff neck and upper back, low back pain, leg muscle tightness, and sore shoulders.

Some of the strokes are the same as those used in classic massage therapy, but the movement is slower and the pressure is deeper and concentrated on areas of tension and pain in order to reach the sub-layer of muscles.

         Lomi Lomi

Lomi Lomi massage is one of the most innovative massages that is being offered in various specialized establishments. This is the type of massage that involves stroking the back, forehead, elbows, feet, forearm, stomach, and shoulders with the use of varied techniques unique to Lomi Lomi. Lomi Lomi massage uses tender, mild, and continuous strokes that relieve stresses of the body. The effects of the massage are enhanced by a hula hula dance that is performed beside the massage table. It is said that the Lomi Lomi massage works well with the tender touch of the one giving the massage. This is believed to provide a brand new freshness, vitality, vigor,  and relief to the body.

Indian Head massage

Indian head massage is a type of therapeutic massage that focuses on treating the patient through conducting massage techniques on the head and on the areas surrounding it such as the face, neck, upper arms and shoulders. It uses gentle massage strokes on these parts to stimulate the nerves, loosen up tight muscles, relax superficial tissues, and remove stress both emotionally and physically.

Reflexology

Reflexology is a therapeutic method of relieving pain by stimulating predefined pressure points on the feet. This controlled pressure alleviates the source of the discomfort. In the absence of any particular abnormality, reflexology may be as effective for promoting good health and for preventing illness as it may be for relieving symptoms of stress and illness.
